Well another year passes and the Edit faithful have stayed loyal once again! 2014 was one hell of a year. The whole club industry has had a very tough time with venues seeming to close nearly every week, however we pushed through and as ever came out stronger than ever!
Julie Mcknight was simply off the hook and in addition she won an award for being one of the nicest guests we have ever had! She Commented during her set “I felt so warm and welcomed it was almost like performing in my front room” which was nice.
Our first mini festival (Editstival) with guests , Booker T, The Reflex, Greg Wilson and K-Klass and Allister Whitehead.
Danny Rampling played for us in August and on his Facebook comments named Edit (at Baku) his new favourite night in the North! Coming from such a legendary figure in the scene this blew us away!
We welcomed back to his place of birth, local hero Sam Holt (Copyright), it is always good to see Sam, who forms part of the backbone of Defected Records / Strictly Rhythm!
Graeme Park without doubt loves Edit! We now dedicate our christmas party to him every year and once again he delivered! Even with his Santa Clause beard!
Our resident Djs Chris Hunter & Phil Rose as “Jaegerossa” go from strength to strength, with weekly radio show on Grant Nelson www.d3ep.com D3EP Radio Network, signing there latest track with K Klass’s Bobbi on vocals “Move your body” to Sarah Favouritism label Fav, getting a Pete Tong World Exclusive play, and also delivering remixes for Richard Earnshaw and C&C Music Factory’s Robert Clivilles & Eric Kupper. Groove Junkies… certainly a hot start to 2015 with loads more in the pipeline.
Overall Edit have stayed strong through a tough year and even sprinted to the finish. We have stayed loyal to our policy of old and new, stayed loyal to our residents , and stayed loyal to all of you giving you our inclusivity and always doing it for the love!
